When I read Melissa Foster's books I always run for a cold shower as they are usually hot hot hot! Jackson however is thermonuclear hot and more than one cold shower was needed. Jackson and Laney have a 'friends with benefits' relationship despite the fact that Laney has a boyfriend, Bryce. But, he is very open minded it seems and the arrangement works well. However, a marriage proposal from him sends her world into orbit and she disappears off for a week with Jackson to try to get her head around what to do. Jackson, her good friend finds a myriad of ways to take her mind of her worries while the whole time his brain is going into overdrive about losing her to Bryce. True to the male form it takes him a while to start thinking with his head and heart and not errrr well...........you know what I mean.
A great book and really interesting characters. I totally get the whole 'friends with benefits' thing and the love developing out of that. Its a great angle for a story and one that always interests me. After all, I married mine! I would say that the sex scenes are pretty raunchy so don't read the book if that sort of thing offends you. But then, you'd be missing out on a really great read. Two people who just needed the wake up call of a marriage proposal to open their eyes to what was really going on in their hearts. At times their stubbornness was quite frustrating but necessary for the story to develop. Secondary characters also add extra dimensions to the story and I'm loving the whole Wild clan, with family being a huge feature throughout all Melissa Foster's books. Highly recommended if you like a little bit of naughty with your romance!
