I am very excited to be part of the blog tour for A LITTLE BIT OF MADNESS, the wonderful new book by Sheryl Browne. I have been lucky enough to have read the book and it is amazing! You can read the review here on 14th February when the book is officially released. But, in the meantime, you can take part in the book tour questions and have a peek at the fantastic cover for the book.
Every stop of the tour has posed a different question. So here's our question and answer from both myself and Sheryl:
What is the most romantic and grandest gesture someone has ever done for you?
SHERYL: Ok, it might not seem grand, but it was certainly romantic – sort of. My man planted a rose tree outside the kitchen window, bearing the peach coloured roses my mum loved. Just did it! Awww. Was beautiful. Was… I pruned it! Waaaaah. Can I help it if my fingers are not green?
JB: One Christmas Eve hubs handed me a CD that he had made for me as he always did. It was full of romantic songs. He asked me to look carefully at the song titles. As I read down the titles I realised that when you put together the first letter of each song title it spelt out WILL YOU MARRY ME? He then got down on one knee and produced a ring and proposed! Of course I said yes!

Celia Summers loves her job as an art
therapist at The Harbour Rest Home, even if her partner, Martin, is disparaging
of her efforts.
Martin, a solicitor, made speculative
investments and needs to get his hands on his mother’s assets, her home,
Charlton Hall, to bail himself out of debt. In order to sell the house, he has
to get Rosemary re-housed at The Harbour Rest Home and tries to get Celia on his
side with a fabrication of lies.
Meanwhile, Celia fights for gallery space
for her charges’ artwork, and to keep The Harbour from being closed.
Police Constable Alex Burrows, son of
Colonel Burrows, comes to her rescue when she crashes her car. Alex turns out to
be considerate and caring with a witty, wicked, sense of humour, which makes
Celia laugh, though when she learns of the circumstances surrounding his the
loss of his wife, she wants to cry. She ignores his reputation as a womaniser.
His trying to influence his father’s Will though, she can’t. Alex, who little by
little has stolen her heart, appears to be just as much a liar as
Martin.
Despite all efforts, The Harbour is doomed
to closure. Celia decides to take Rosemary home and forestall Martin’s plan to
sell Charlton Hall. Celia is soon joined by the rest of her elderly
independents, who rally together to stop Martin evicting them. Colonel Burrows
is ready to thrash the enemy to death with his walking stick when his son
arrives in his uniform. Alex explains that Colonel Burrows is the buyer of
Charlton Hall and finally does what he’s been trying to do for ages: ask Celia
to marry him.

Haw, haw, no we can't tell your using your phone, honestly! Can you tell I'm still in my jim jams? :) Better throw some clothes on (walking doggies in pink PJs not socially acceptable behaviour, I suspect). Back soon!

Yes Sheryl he is a gem! Like Shaz's hubs he also does a lot of little things too which def make an impact. Right now for instance he better be downstairs cleaning the kitchen and making me my breakfast or the impact of that will be scary if he's not! lol!! Kidding!
grandest gesture of my man was that he researched all things German before I got to Texas so I wouldn't be too homesick... German bakery, German restaurant, German deli, and he even joined the German Beethoven Männerchor (men's choir) so he could sing German songs for me.

Great posts!! We are all so lucky with our husbands :-)!! It's the little gestures that I really love. Mine brings home flowers and chocolates on a regular basis (sometimes even a book). Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

My husband isn't really one for grand gestures but is great with day to day romantic gestures - cooking surprise meals, little gifts for no reason, leaving romantic notes when he goes to work before I'm awake etc.
It's been a fantastic cover reveal week, I've really enjoyed reading all the questions and answers! Now I'm looking forward to the book tour :) x
Little things really do mean so much, especially those little notes. I remember starting my first social work job and was so nervous. Hubs made me a massive packed lunch to take in with me and when I opened my sandwiches there was a note inside them which said, 'Good luck today. I am very proud of you. Love you lots.' I nearly cried! lol. I almost ate the flippin note by mistake!
Oh, God, Jonty, you do make me hoot! Hubby: Did you like my note? Jonty: Well, I got a little choked. Love it! That man of yours is a real romantic, y'know - but don't tell we said so. :) xx
Kate, my man signs his notes with his initials Um...?? Still trying to work that one out. Does 'Can you get my shirt out of the washing machine' count as romantic? Well, I suppose he did manage to put it in. And he has just bought me my fave walnut cake. OK, I won't sack him. ;) xx

What great stories, thank you for sharing them. My hubby proposed to me at a bus stop! Nothing romantic about it what so ever! lol x He is just not romantic. But he does do caring things in small ways, I may not get flowers etc but he can be thoughtful and kind (in his own way lol) xx
