So, there I was just sitting at my desk in work, minding my own business and trying very hard not to wish it was 5pm and home time. My mobile phone was lying to one side but out of the corner of my eye I could see it blinking away with lots of twitter alerts. What on earth was going on? Well, it appears that I have been nominated for an award at the Festival of Romance!!!! Whohooooooo!!

The festival is due to take place in Bedford on 8th - 10th November and I am pleased to say that I will be attending. In fact, I had booked to attend months ago!  I am so looking forward to meeting up with lots of my lovely online friends who have supported me so much in developing Brook Cottage Books. Without them I would be lost.

So, just what is the award? Well its an Industry award for Romance Blogger of the Year. Its truly amazing. What is even more amazing is that I have been grouped with a bunch of other amazing bloggers who are such a driving force in the book blogging world. They are people I am constantly in awe of for their hard work and committment to supporting authors. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to the other nominees for Romance Blogger of the Year.............

Tanya Farrell (After The Final Chapters) - www.afterthefinalchapters.com
Sharon Goodwin ( Jera's Jamboree) - www.jerasjamboree.com
Kirsty Maclennan (For the Love of a Good Book) - www.theloveofagoodbook.wordpress.com
Carol Wright (Dizzy C's Book Blog) - www.dizzycslittlebookblog.blogspot.ie/

I urge you all to go and visit these truly amazing blogs. Then you will see why I am in shock at being classed with such talent in the blogging world. Even if I don't win the award, the joy of being nominated will live with me for a very long time. Thank you to everyone - readers, authors, publishers, bloggers and all who have supported me.

Check out the Festival of Romance website for a full list of the other award categories. I am truly proud of each and every one of my friends who have been nominated.  Recognition indeed of all your hard work. xxxxxx
