And Baby Makes Four is the final book in the Mishaps in Millrise Series. In this final installment we see Phoebe struggling with doubt about the direction her life is going. With a new baby on the way and things not as they should be with Jack, Phoebe is more than a little apprehensive. Cue some completely wonderful, down to earth and no nonsense advice from the incorrigible Midnight, and Phoebe's thoughts become a lot clearer and she knows what needs to be done.
Like the previous books in the series, this one was just as fantastic. Again, Midnight plays the part of wacky friend and we wouldn't have her any other way. I've said it before and I'll say it again............that girl needs her own book! With a personality as big as the sun, Midnight proves to be such an important friend to Phoebe during times she needs her most. We all need a friend like her! Lovely old Dixon soon becomes a clucking mother hen and makes it his mission to look after Phoebe and her unborn baby with lovely advice from such a caring gentleman! I'll never drink herbal tea again without thinking about him!
As with the previous books also, Phoebe must contend with Jack's mother and the hate/hate relationship they have. But, will the old dragon soften any towards Phoebe and will there be a wobbly truce? You'll have to read the book to see. As in Phoebe's usual style, nothing in her life goes according to plan and there are yet more mishaps in store for her in this book. However, there is so much more at stake this time for Phoebe and Jack. Somehow a happy ending seems impossible for them.
Tilly Tennant has once again excelled herself in finishing Jack and Phoebe's story. This is a fantastic novella that I was able to read in one sitting. It was engaging, funny and at times poignant. I just wanted to grab Rebecca's mother and give her a big hug for the way she has befriended Phoebe. What a superstar! I can't recommend this series highly enough. I am such a Tilly Tennant fan now and you will be too after reading this series!
About Tilly Tennant
Tilly Tennant was born in Dorset,
the oldest of four children, but now lives in Staffordshire with a family of
her own. After years of dismal and disastrous jobs, including paper plate
stacking, shop girl, newspaper promotions and waitressing (she never could
carry a bowl of soup without spilling a bit), she decided to indulge her
passion for the written word by embarking on a degree in English and creative
writing, graduating in 2009 with first class honours. She wrote her first novel
in 2007 during her first summer break at university and has not stopped writing
since. She also works as a freelance fiction editor, and considers herself very
lucky that this enables her to read many wonderful books before the rest of the
world gets them.
Hopelessly Devoted to Holden Finn was her debut novel; published in 2014 it was an Amazon bestseller in both the UK and Australia.
