She's back to right her wrongs.
When Tanya Todd returns to Templeton Cove, she knows better than
to expect a warm welcome. She burned a few bridges on her way out of town, and
making amends won't be easy. First on her list is the man whose heart she
carelessly shattered, Liam Browne.
Seeing the successful criminal lawyer after all these years, Tanya
is interested in more than just Liam's forgiveness. As they work together to
bring the man who hurt her sister to justice, the attraction between them
sizzles. Suddenly Tanya's second chance could include a future with Liam…if she can prove she's changed.
Ok so before we start let me make a confession. When I was at school I subscribed to Mills and Boon. When I first joined, the membership gift was a lovely Mills & Boon tote bag! People laughed at me but I craved stories of romance and being swept off my feet and whilst at times pretty corny, Mills and Boon always delivered! Thankfully times have moved on and the stories are not corny at all. They are in fact pretty amazing if Her Hometown Redemption is anything to go by!
What a great story and I wish I had read the other books in the series. That being said, Her Hometown Redemption was easily read as a standalone as there was enough information about the characters and their back stories to know exactly what was going on. Rachel Brimble has produced a really well written and engaging book that was easy to read and very enjoyable. The writing style flowed and at times the sexual tension between Tanya and Liam positively jumped off the page!
When Tanya returns to Templeton Cove she is faced with a huge hurdle.............proving she has changed. Tanya is no longer the woman she once was and that will be difficult to prove to a community that she hurt. Tanya is no longer strong, direct and a go-getter. She is vulnerable now and broken a little bit. Liam finds it difficult to keep her at arms length and his heart ultimately rules his head. Thank goodness! I loved this character. We should all have a little Liam in our lives! There are so many great characters who add so much to the book - Marian and Lucy to name a few.
Tanya is back in the Cove not only to rebuild her life after it so cruelly fell apart, but she is also on a man hunt to track down someone who hurt her sister..........badly. Justice must be served and this adds a further frisson of excitement to the story. But, will love be enough to overcome all and rebuild her life. Tanya has a struggle ahead of her but perhaps the biggest struggle is the one Tanya and Liam have together..........trying to keep their hands off each other. Neither one can afford more heartache. A really good read!
