Genres: Romance
I am thrilled to welcome Holly to the blog with an author interview!
Full Name? Holly Tierney-Bedord
Do you write under your real name or is this a pen name you
use?
This is my real name.
Where are you from?
Madison,
Wisconsin
List 3 interesting facts about yourself.
I’ve been a vegetarian since I was twelve. I’ve travelled
to over twenty countries and over forty US states. I have a blog about the dollhouse I restored
called Flip This (Mini) House.
What was the first thing you ever had published?
The very first thing was a poem in my school newspaper
when I was six or seven years old. My first book was my novel Coached, which I
self-published in 2011.
Do you have a writing routine?
Write
whenever you don’t know what else to do. Keep the television off and don’t play
online games. If I’m lucky, I write about five days a week.
Do you have any writing rituals?
Not
exactly.
Where did the idea for your most recent book come from?
My book Boots on the Ground, which just came out, was
inspired by my husband’s love of professional wrestling. It’s always on at our
house when he’s home. If, ten years ago, someone had told me one day I’d write
a wrestling themed romance novella I never would have believed them.
Who was the first person you shared your book with?
I’m not sure. Probably a friend or my mom.
Do you have a current work in progress?
I’ve got a few books going right now. Once has been a
work in progress for about three years. It’s inspired by my love of old houses
and ghost stories. Another I just started is about a young woman who becomes
the spokesperson for a chain of coffee shops. I’m not sure what inspired that
one.
Do you have any advice for budding authors?
I think with any
talent, it helps to develop it when you’re young. If you’re a kid who sits in
her room writing poetry you’re off to a good start. However, it’s never too
late to do what you want to do. Make the time for it and don’t be afraid that
you have to be perfect.

Boots on the Ground:
As the owner of the
world's largest professional wrestling establishment, Lucille Boots doesn't
have time for dating. She's too busy keeping her wrestlers happy, getting
choke-slammed on national television, and spending time with her college-aged
daughter to worry about something as tedious as romance.
When her ex-husband
sets out to recapture the empire he helped build, Lucille's life goes from
hectic to haywire. The only bright spot she can see is with the ultimate
off-limits option: a professional wrestler. Will she break her own rules for
love, or will it be business as usual?
