To say I read this book in break neck speed is an understatement. I started reading it one evening in the car while waiting for my daughter to finish one of her many social activities and almost forgot to go get her again! There's just something about Rachel Dove's writing that captures the reader's imagination and sweeps it along in a brilliant story.

Poor Maria is humiliated in the most public of ways. As if being jilted at the altar by celebrity boyfriend Darcy wasn't bad enough, the entire debacle becomes fodder for the press and Maria is left bereft by how her life has spiraled out of control. But at least she still has her business.............though there's not much call for a wedding planner who couldn't even pull off her own wedding successfully. Supported by her wonderfully quirky friend Cassie, Marie tries to recover from her broken heart. All helped along by a bit of a wild night out and the hangover from hell. Throw into the mix a sexy electrician and an ex fiance who decides to make an appearance once again and things get even more complicated. And, as if that wasn't enough, there's a hunky Aussie who can cook and clean! All perfect ingredients for an amazing book!

Its not very often that a book comes along that has such an amazing mix of characters all of which I was fascinated by. Cassie and her relationship with the Aussie hunk was brilliant. I love her tenacity throughout the story. Poor Maria's heartbreak is palpable but helped along by Cassie and her straight talking, no nonsense approach. I just loved absolutely everything about this book. Its hard to say too much more without giving the plot away but suffice to say, I defy anyone not to love this book as much as I did. If this was made into a movie, I'd go to see it! It'd make a fab movie. The writing is amazing and the pacing of the book just flies along, making it difficult to put down. Rachel Dove really is an extraordinarily talented writer. This book explores many aspects of relationships and Rachel Dove has captured the essence of each of them. There are so many comedy moments in the book and this author has a real knack for making the reader laugh out loud. I simply can't say enough positive things about this book. It comes as a highly recommended read from me.
