MY REVIEW
When a mission goes wrong and Eve finds herself up against a deadly and tyrannical drug lord, her life hangs in the balance. Not one to sit around and wait to be rescued, Eve takes matters into her own hands. However, even she needs help and that help comes in the form of 'Mac'. However, her history with Mac makes things difficult and she finds she needs to put her broken heart to one side to just survive.
If you like fast-paced, action packed books then this is the one for you! Resolutions really packs a punch! Not only does it have a swoon-worthy hero called Mac to come to the rescue but it also has a female lead character, Eve, who could save Mac's ass in a heartbeat. Think Lara Croft. This girl is nobody's doormat. But like any good special ops agent, she just can't ignore her heart - a girl, no matter how tough, can still suffer from a broken heart.
This book has the perfect mix of excitement, heart-stopping moments, romance and super sexiness!! Mac is absolutely to die for and I'd let myself be rescued by him any day! The love scenes are enough to make you race for a cold shower but aren't too over-powering. I really liked this book and would highly recommend it.

Teri
Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime
stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three
Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head?
When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the
tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell
conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and
there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.
Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.

Beefy hands wrenched Eve
awake from a fevered sleep, pulled her from the cell, and shoved her into a
musty-smelling hallway. I’m being moved? A guard pushed her with one hand,
keeping a tight grip on an AK-47 rifle with his other.
Her shoulder throbbed in
perfect cadence with the pains shooting through her broken wrist, and she had
one badass headache from being punched in the face a few too many times. Using
her good hand, she walked fingers across one cheek, then the other. The right
side was totally numb. Her eye had swollen shut, and she couldn’t see a damn
thing out of it. She ran her tongue across her teeth and tasted the tart,
copper flavor of blood. Three teeth loose. Well, at least they’re still in
place.
In spite of the relentless
pain, she stayed determined to survive whatever Mendoza dished out. She wasn’t
a quitter. No, sir. Duncan Falls, Iowa didn’t grow quitters. Eve ignored the
constant ache in her ribs, courtesy of a guard’s overzealous kick, and took in
a deep breath. She willed herself to stay alert, to keep pushing. Escape. Third
times the charm.
Eve slapped the guard’s dirty
hand. “Hey, Pedro, stop being so damned pushy. Where we going anyway? We got a
hot date I’ve forgotten about?”
He looked puzzled then shoved
her again.
“Don’t understand English, do
you, Diego? Bet you understand this.” Eve drove her elbow into the guard’s
face. Thick rubbery cartilage gave, and she whooped triumphantly.
Blood squirted from his nose
and he screamed.
Eve stepped back. “Yep, I’m
pretty sure you understand that.”
Unable to grab the guard’s
assault rifle, she clutched her injured shoulder, and took off in a slow jog,
no longer able to push any harder.
Her escape was short lived.

Author Bio
'What You See Is What You Get' would be the best way to
describe Amanda. Born in Bexleyheath, England 1971, she is a wife and mother of
seven children ranging in ages from her 21 year old daughter down to a spirited
3 year old son. Life in her house is manic. There is always unpredictablity and

I love books such as The Restaurant @ The Mill as they weave the individual stories of groups of people together in such a way that each becomes connected somehow by a common theme. The story is told through the personal accounts of the group of 6 couples and the reader is given a history behind their story and follows them on their journey. Some are searching for love, some are battling personal demons and others are merely searching for direction. Ben and Hilary have secrets and buried heartbreak and soon find that The Mill changes them too.
This book is extremely well written and flows at a steady pace. The characters are interesting and the reader soon has an interest in what is going on for them. Many have problems that we can all relate too, thus making their stories believable. The reader becomes invested in the outcome for each character and I found myself wishing for a particular outcome for each. This is a lovely book to curl up with. I'd highly recommend it. I love Linn B Halton's books as they never disappoint.

I'm incredibly proud to present to you The Couple on The Green, my debut novel. The inspiration for the story came from a real-life elderly couple who I used to watch from my own kitchen window, which overlooks the village green. I adore watching and talking to elderly people – I think they have so many fascinating stories and insights and I watched this couple daily for about five years until they sadly disappeared. Although their lives were unknown to me - and despite trying, I still haven't managed to find out who they were - it set my mind aglow with possibilities and I started to form twenty years' worth of desire to write a novel into something that vaguely resembled a plotline. As is often the case for authors, it just took on a life of its own from there and the storyline became obvious to me. My leading lady, Isobel, wears her heart-on-her-sleeve, gets hurt a lot, loves deeply, forgives readily and has friendships that last a lifetime. Isobel has many tragedies and hardships throughout her life and the question in my mind throughout the writing process was: is it better to feel deeply and face being hurt deeply, or to not have the depth of feelings and not feel the resulting pain when life doesn't go according to plan. I think the answer is different for everyone, but I'd love you to read the book and to hear your thoughts on that.

About the Author
K.L. Penington was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, which is what initially inspired the background for characters Emma and Evin. It was at an early age that K.L. discovered she was not whatsoever athletically gifted, an evil genius, or the next Beethoven. One thing she did know, however, was that she loved to read. As a result, growing up, some of her best friends and biggest influences in her life were the characters from her favorite books.
The passion behind K.L.’s writing comes from the ability to be anyone and do anything, and because she can share the multiple different personalities living in her head without anyone judging her—much. Her dream has always been to one day see her own books on bookshelves, next to the hundreds of other books she enjoys reading.
Currently residing in Wichita Falls, Texas, K.L. attends Midwestern State University, where she is in fierce pursuit of an English degree. When I was asked to review this book I was quite excited as I love anything that helps authors promote their writing. All too often it can be quite a daunting task trying to get your book out there and noticed. Thankfully this book breaks it all down into bite size chunks in easily understood language which is particularly useful for those overloaded with publishing jargon. I was able to read this book during my lunch break so its perfect for those of us who are uber busy! Its only 29 pages long so it's not meant to be an in-depth guide but more of a beginners guide to get you off the starting blocks and point you in the right direction. A great little resource.

Luca Veste is a writer of Italian
and Scouse heritage, currently living on the wrong side of the River Mersey. He
is married with two young daughters, and is himself one of nine children.
He is
currently a mature student, studying Psychology and Criminology at the
University of Liverpool.
Luca is
the editor of the Spinetingler Award nominated charity anthology series ‘Off the
Record,’ which raises money for children’s literary charities. He also has

She hadn't been afraid of the dark.
Not before.
Not before it entered her life without her knowing,
enveloping her like a second skin, becoming a part of her.
She hadn’t been claustrophobic, petrified the walls
were closing in around her. Crushed to death without knowing they'd even moved.
Not scared of things that crawled around her toes. Wasn't afraid to sit alone
in a darkened room and wonder if something was touching her face, or if it was
just her imagination.
Nope. She wasn't scared before.
She was now.
It took time to become afraid of those things, and
time was all she had, stretching out in front of her without end.
